Scotrenewables Tidal Power, an engineering company based in Scotland, has focused on the development of tidal energy turbine they called “tidal energy generation”. The company has launched the SR2000 2MW, the most effective operational tidal turbine. As per the company statement, the Scotrenewables Tidal Power has crossed another milestone with its floating tidal stream turbine of 2MW that produced 3GWh renewable electricity. This was when the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) in Orkney first examined it.

Furthermore, he adds by saying the ability to reach the SR2000 during their routine is the major factor to able to generate electricity at such high levels in the course of last one year, even in winters.

He also mentioned that the SR2000 uses rigid inflatable boats and various similar cost effective vessels. This connotes that their operational cost and outage times are the lowest.
