Elucidating Errors in EHR

Missing data, or sigs, can pose severe problems for patients and medical practitioners. To exemplify, the system often fails to differentiate between 1.0 mg and 10 mg doses. They tried to deal with sigs manually, and this helped them in developing automated transcription. Manual ascertaining of sigs is a time-consuming process that is subject to human errors.
Solution Proposed by the Center
Following this, Researchers from King Daughter’s Medical Center proposed a system to digitize records. In addition, they propose to convert free-text into automated systems that processes results according to hospital nomenclature.
